Omega CHB is nationally licensed to clear freight at all airports and ocean ports with the United States. We have successfully imported cars, boats, scooter, bicycles, and motorcycles into the United States. Importing a motor vehicle must conform to the US safety, bumper, and emmission standards set forth by the Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1996, revised under the Imported Vehicle Safety Compliance Act of 1988 along with other standards. Vehicles entering the United States must be brought into compliance, exported or destroyed, if they do not conform with safety standards. There are some exceptions. Importing a 25 year old car, may only require modifications for safety items for tags and registration but in California standards are much stricter.
